ABOUT ME

I'm Cate, I'm an independent funeral celebrant, working mostly in my local area around Church Stretton but happy to work away from Shropshire. I have also led a few wonderful weddings and would be available for naming ceremonies.

I've lived and worked in South Shropshire since 1996. My husband and I brought up our three daughters in All Stretton, in the heart of the Shropshire hills and we enjoy walking or running up on the beautiful Long Mynd.

I love being part of our village community; I help run Flicks in the Sticks and live theatre events in our hall, was a local Homestart volunteer and work as a bereavement volunteer for Cruse in the Shropshire area.

I’ve worked closely with families in my role as Teacher of the Deaf, listening, supporting and providing bespoke care in the home and in schools.

I am personable and caring, with time to listen, with an open and supportive approach, with an interest in beautiful writing, music and literature.

As a celebrant, I recognise the value and lasting effect of a bespoke and meaningful ceremony. As your celebrant, it would be a privilege to work alongside you at this transitional and emotional time, to create the best possible funeral ceremony for your relative.

If you'd like to learn more about what I can offer, or just chat over a coffee about your own thoughts or plans, do be in touch
